Question ….? great art photogaphers format
A switchover? I have a 4 x 5 "field camera, and I discovered the film has become difficult, and that (unless you have a darkroom) the development of the film using the zone system is almost impossible. Moreover, quality digital cameras and digital from almost all these days, it is time to change? Would love comments …..
I can develop my NO 4×5 film images. I know of no laboratory can successfully develop my film to my specifications without costing me an arm and a leg. I develop the film in a bathroom once and then my lab can make prints directly as I need it. About once a year I take a photo class a local community college and have access to the darkroom to print my work in black and white. And while I have three Nikon digital SLR, I have changed. Shot 4×5, 35 mm and digital. They all have their place in the mixture of image-making.
