I want a recipe for Cherry Blossom roll.?
Lost the recipe. Contains pastry stuffed with cherries, coconut on a butter almond filling. recipe was in a magazine in the 70s. Can anyone help?
2 / 3 cup sifted powdered sugar "1 / 4 cup milk 1 cup dried cherries cake, divided 1 / 4 cup coarsely chopped walnuts 1 loaf (14 to 16 ounces) of white bread dough frozen, thawed 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted 1 / 4 cup brown sugar 1 1 / 2 teaspoons cinnamon in a small bowl, combine confectioners sugar and milk and mix well. Pour into a 9-inch-feet deep flatbread. Sprinkle 1 / 2 cup cherries and nuts evenly over sugar mixture. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough into a 12×8 inch rectangle, brush with melted butter. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle over batter. Garnish with the remaining 1 / 2 cup cherries. Roll up rectangle, jelly roll style, starting from one long side, pinching edges to seal. With a sharp knife, cut roll into 12 slices. Place slices, cut side down, on top of mixture in pan. This place, covered in a warm place 30 minutes or until that almost doubled. (Or, cover with wax paper, then plastic. Refrigerate 2 to 24 hours. Before baking, let chilled rolls stand, covered, 20 minutes at room temperature). Bake uncovered in a preheated oven at 375 degrees 20 to 25 minutes for rolls of non-refrigerated and 25 to 30 minutes for fresh rolls, or until golden. If necessary, cover with paper rolls in the last 10 minutes to avoid overbrowning. Cool in pan 1 to 2 minutes. Investing in a serving tray. Serve hot. Makes 12 rolls.
